Redemption Song

Bob Marley wrote and recorded the song in 1979.

His son, Ziggy Marley recorded the song with The Chieftains in 2002.

Playing For Change recorded the song with Marley’s son, Stephen and released it this year.

Stand By Me

Ben E. King wrote the song and first released it in 1960 where it was number 1 on the R&B chart and number 4 on the pop chart.  He re-released it in 1986 and it was used in the movie Stand By Me.

Playing For Change recorded the song which included 35 musicians and street performers from all over the world.

Bruce Springsteen joins U2 in the song.

Timon and Pumbaa from the Lion King also released their version.

Straight No Chaser,  Indiana University’s a cappella group sings the song in a Hardees restaurant in Kentucky in 2007.

One Love

Bob Marley released the song in 1977.  This video was released in 1984 posthumously.

Playing for Change released the song in 2010.

 Antonio Banderas also sang the song in 2010 in Shrek Forever After.
